Low Zinc Activator Topfine® CR510
BACKGROUND
European Commission has confirmed the EU-wide ban on the use of zinc oxide at medicinal levels in piglet feed in 2017, EU 2017/1413 Regulation made further limit on zinc oxide in cosmetics, in 2016, California Senate Bill 1260 even tried to ban the sale of motor vehicle tires in California that contained more than a certain amount of zinc by weight. To follow this tread, we have developed Low-Zinc Activator Topfine® CR510, it has the characteristics of low zinc content, high vulcanization activity and excellent dispersion. Zinc content is only half of common Zinc Oxide (ZnO), which is environmentally friendly, and meets the requirements of rubber products performance.

Zinc content is only half of common Zinc Oxide (ZnO), which is environmentally friendly, and meets the requirements of rubber products performance.
Activator
Topfine® CR510 is prepared by means of liquid phase reaction, which is
obtained by reaction under specific temperature and PH conditions, also
obtained under dehydration process and granulation technology.

● Nanometer grade dispersion, no agglomeration
● Good dispersity of processing, no dust
● Excellent physical properties (comparing with equivalent ZnO indirect Process), can replace ZnO-80 Masterbatch equivalently)

● Effectively increase the scorching time, improve the processing safety, the vulcanization speed faster than that of the common zinc oxide.
● Low content of heavy metal, passed SGS test, meet RoHS standard
SUGGESTED APPLICATIONS
CR510, as an upgraded product of common zinc oxide, can be used as an efficient activator for NR (natural rubber) and SR (synthetic rubber).
In rubber products such as tires, it can be used in the same amount instead of zinc oxide.
It has good activation effect the Sulfonamide type, thiazoles type, and thiuram type accelerator.
It is recommended to use with magnesium oxide together to improve the scorch resistance of the compound when it is used as vulcanizing agent for CR.
It has better activation effect in the effective, semi-effective and peroxide vulcanization system.
